QINGDAO plans to build a manufacturing industrial system that is competitive internationally in the next five years, in the hope of becoming a key base for modern industry and lead the development in other areas.

    More key industrial parks will be built to help the development of the manufacturing industry. Meanwhile, a batch of industrial parks for new industries will also be built in subdistricts, towns and even rural areas.

    The manufacturing industry will also become more creative in the next five years. At present, the city is supporting businesses in areas such as information technology, new materials, biology, energy-saving, high-end manufacturing, new energy and new-energy automobiles. It is expected that the output of the new industry will reach 350 billion yuan in 2015.
