ACCORDING to the city’s forestry bureau, there are 383 species of bird in the city, the highest in Shandong Province.

    Located in the south of Shandong Peninsula, Qingdao has very suitable weather and geographic conditions for birds, so has become an important hub on birds’ migration path. Millions of birds pass through Qingdao every year, including some precious birds, such as red-crowned crane, white crane, swan and goshawk.
