QINGDAO plans to build a “blue” silicon valley and become the leading city in the “blue” economy on Shandong Peninsula.

    Technological creativity is the key in developing a blue economy. In the next five years, developing an ocean economy will be an important national strategy and Qingdao will become a leading city in industrial transformation of an ocean economy and new industry development to promote a “blue” silicone valley. The valley will become an incubator for technological achievement, gathering high-end research centers and professionals.

    The project will become a platform in the “blue” economy. The key area will have a national creative platform such as a deep ocean base and national laboratory for marine technology.
