THE city’s environmental protection bureau plans to spend 105.3 million yuan this year to improve the environment and reduce industrial pollution.

    There will be 38 projects to reduce industrial pollution, including eight sewage treatment plants, 14 industrial gas disposal projects, six dust treatment projects and 10 noise abatement projects.

    “When all these projects are finished, the city’s environment will be effectively improved,” a city environmental protection bureau official said.

    The bureau recently formulated plans to improve the city environment and reduce industrial pollution.
