THE Jiaonan City will build a blueberry industrial base covering an area of 6,666 hectare in 2014. It will become a blueberry home in China, growing blueberries for retail markets in 23 cities.

    Blueberries were introduced in Jiaonan in 2000, and about one-third of the nation’s blueberries are grown there. It is now the biggest blueberry production county in China and with cooperative relationships with national chains.
