    Director of the city’s economy and IT development committee, Xiang Yangqing, said the city will give preferential support to the development of promising industries featuring world-class technology.

    In addition, the city will develop clusters of emerging industries with strong innovative capability and local characteristics.

    Key technology will also be developed, such as energy-saving lighting and sea water desalination.

    In the field of information technology, the city will develop key projects like cloud computing, data centers and call centers.

    To develop biological medicine, the city will help industries like marine medicine and biological vaccines in marketing and mass-production.

    The city will also give preferential support to selected key projects from the fields of high-end manufacturing, new material and new energy vehicles.
