QINGDAO plans to cooperate with China Merchants Group in developing Shandong Peninsula’s Blue Economic Zone, building the city into a shipping hub of Northeast Asia and a regional financial and eco-friendly city, according to a cooperation agreement signed in Hong Kong recently.

The group will make investments in the city in key projects such as harbor logistics, special industrial parks and financial service areas in the next five years.
