Club sailing competition to be expanded
    2011-05-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE 2011 City Clubs Open Regatta opened recently, inviting 29 domestic sailing teams to enjoy the competition.

It is one of the most famous and popular sailing competitions in the country.

Aiming at becoming a “city of sailing,” Qingdao plans to hold more competitions for locals along with elite international competitions in the future, said Lin Zhiwei, vice chairman of the city’s sailing sports association.

“In less than five years, this competition will become one of the most influential one of its kind in Asia,” said Qu Chun, vice president of the China Marine Sports School.
