SEVERAL agricultural product zones in Laixi, Pingdu and Jiaonan have been expanded and upgraded recently.

    Exports volume of agricultural products in Qingdao reached US$1.15 billion between January and March this year, an increase of 48.5 percent year on year.

    Qingdao has made significant achievements in promoting agricultural product exports.

    In 2010, the city’s export volume of agricultural products hit US$3.87 billion, an increase of 28.4 percent from 2009, accounting for 30.4 percent in Shandong.

    Qingdao will focus on promoting the construction of agricultural product zones and tighten quality supervision.
