THE cultural creative industry is on fast-track development. The cultural creative industry last year reported added value of more than 43 billion yuan, an 18-percent increase year on year, contributing to 7.7 percent of the city’s total industrial output. The city has been pushing for integration between culture and the economy, society, science and technology, ocean and tourism since the beginning of this year. In the past six months, 20 cultural projects were promoted at the seventh China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, attracting wide attention from fair visitors. The city also organized inspections of the development of the cultural industry, collecting ideas for industrial development. There are more than 15,000 cultural enterprises in the city, employing more than 600,000 people. The city has selected 50 cultural enterprises for preferential support, including 10 State-owned and 30 private companies. Home to many big cultural projects, authorities will push the construction of 20 cultural projects and start the construction of 10 more.
