SALMON cultivated in Jiaonan will be available for Qingdao residents by the end of June.

    It is the first time salmon has been cultivated in China’s offshore waters. After more than five months of experiments, the salmon had grown well.

    “With this success, China no longer has to rely too much on imports of salmon,” said Li Qiang, president of Qingdao Fuqiang aquatic products cultivation plant.
