QINGDAO Huanghai College, a private college recently approved to issue bachelor’s degrees, celebrated its 15th anniversary June 5.

    The college, formerly known as Qingdao Huanghai Vocational College, was qualified to provide undergraduate education by the Ministry of Education on April 15.

    The college will start enrollment in six bachelor’s degree majors this year, covering finance, shipping and ocean engineering, electronic information engineering, mechanical design and automation, logistics management and civil engineering.

    The college was built in 1996 and occupies an area of 852,000 square meters.

    It has a faculty of about 1,400 people and nearly 20,000 students.
