THE city has completed the renovation of five sewage treatment projects, producing water of top national quality.

    Costing 187 million yuan, the Tuandao Sewage Treatment Plant renovated its aeration system, sludge dewatering system and deodorization system.

    After a 563-million-yuan renovation, the Haibohe Sewage Treatment Plant has gained a daily handling capacity of 160,000 cubic meters of wastewater.

    New treatment facilities were built at the Licunhe Sewage Treatment Plant with an investment of 170 million yuan.

    The renovation of the Loushanhe Sewage Treatment Plant and the Chengyan Sewage Treatment Plant cost 117 million yuan and 97 million yuan respectively.

    The completion of the five renovation projects is expected to improve water quality at Jiaozhou Bay.
