CHAIRMAN and CEO of Haier Group Zhang Ruimin won the international award for outstanding leader recently at a global political and economic summit held in Beijing, becoming the first Chinese enterpriser to win the award.

    According to the summit, Zhang was an outstanding and visionary leader with strong global influence and social responsibility. The former award-winners are all world famous enterprisers from global companies.

    Founded in 2000, the summit has now become an important non-government platform for communicating global economic and cultural issues. This year’s summit was held in Beijing with the theme of “creativity” and “low carbon dioxide.” More than 80 top leaders and experts from Top 500 enterprises, political and academic areas attended the fair.
