THE country’s first experiencing toy shop — Happy Zone Creative City — was opened in Qingdao recently, marking the city’s latest achievements in animation industry development, manufacturing and sales.

    There are plans to invest US$50 million to open the toy shop’s branches in the country, hoping to make it the country’s first brand in animation products and toy sales, said An Bo, investor of the project.

    An went back to his hometown Qingdao after graduating from the United States in 1998. He has worked in animation for years, helping the world’s top animation brands produce related products. He founded a Xinxiu Chang’an Cultural Media Co. Ltd., at the end of 2009 and built two bases for animation-related product manufacturing and animation design.
