The song is an interpolation of the Modest Mouse motivational anthem "Float On." Producer Kane Beatz toned down the original's sad vibe by slicing in some soul by the pound and triumphant horns. Still, "The Show Goes On" is mostly compelling for Lupe's corner-pocket flow.
