THE Beijing-Shanghai high-speed train has helped promote the city’s development in the tourism industry and many travel agencies in the city have launched new tourism products related to high-speed trains. As of this year, the city tourism industry has worked on attracting high-end tourists to spend weekends and holidays in Qingdao by high-speed train. The city’s tourism department said the train has brought cities such as Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin much closer to Qingdao and more high-end tourists in these cities were expected to come to Qingdao to spend their holidays and weekends.
