Waste collection stations to be upgraded
    2011-07-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE city will start renovating and constructing 40 waste collection stations to unprecedentedly high standards this year.

The design of the planned waste collection stations has been completed by the China Urban Construction Design and Research Institute.

The construction of the six waste collection stations is due to start soon and another four are due to be completed soon.

A model station was completed in a residential community in Shibei District. The waste collected will be transported to a refuse transfer station on Taiyuan Road.

The refuse transfer station can deal with more than 50 tons of waste, benefiting over 40,000 households.
