THE city’s first Qingdao dialect drama debuted at Qingdao People’s Hall yesterday.

    Named “Pichaiyuan Legend,” the drama was produced by Qingdao Song and Dance Theater Co. It is about a local family in the old days. It also reflects on local customs.

    Employing modern stage elements, the drama includes a variety of art forms like crosstalk and magic show.

    The stage design of the drama was led by Sheng Ao from China Children’s Art Theater, who put old articles on the revolving stage.
