Electronics show opens
    2011-07-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE 2011 China International Consumer Electronics Show was held in Qingdao from July 7 to 10, featuring the world’s most advanced home appliances.

This year’s fair aimed to build an interactive platform for consumer electronics enterprises, development and research organizations and purchasers to display and exchange their new products and technologies particularly in areas such as three-network integration, 3G, cloud computing, Internet of Thing, new materials, energy saving and information security.

There are 532 companies attending the fair, covering an area of 40,000 square meters, which is the biggest fair among the previous years’. Well-known companies such as Microsoft and AOC attended the fair for the first time.

The consumer electronics association of the United States (CEA) also brings 27 international award-winning products to the fair.

Meanwhile, 21 professional forums and seminars were held. Among these, issues such as cloud computing, a digital city, ecological manufacturing, intellectual home appliances and three-network integration were hotly discussed by experts and enterprisers.

A U.N. purchasing presentation seminar was also held during the fair, aiming at helping more consumer electronics companies become United Nations registered suppliers.
