New public facilities added
    2011-07-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE city plans to add 1,793 sets of leisure seats and trash bins along newly renovated public roads. In all, 900 sets are to be installed in Qianhai, an area that sees a large number of visitors.

So far, 32 seats and 100 trash bins have been installed along Guizhou Road, Taiping Road, Guangxi Road and Yan’an Road 3.

The seats are designed to address the different needs of different areas.

For example, seats on Donghai Road feature straight lines and a modern look.

Those on Xianggang Road Central are of a European style and made of iron and treated wood.

Seats on Nanjing Road are made of treated wood and feel comfortable. On Zhengzhou Road, where residential communities are clustered, the seats are eco-friendly. Seats on Dashazhi Road in the old industrial town are made of stone and wood.

The trash bins are the same as the old ones, made of metal and painted blue and grey.
