A CAPTAIN from Qingdao-based COSCO was awarded the title of “national excellent seaman” by the Ministry of Communications.

    Leng Juji, with 32 years of sailing experience, has steered 34 ships, reaching more than 50 countries and regions in the world.

    He is now a captain of a VLBC (very large bulk carrier).

    He saved the lives of 20 foreign seamen in the waters near Luzon Island, the Philippines on Nov. 18, 2005.(Chen Ting, Li Xiaohan)
