Clam festival held
    2011-07-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE annual clam festival opened on Hongdao Island recently, offering its best seafood to tourists around the country.

This year’s festival was held in the Hongdao Leisure Fishing Village, which is a main tourist attraction on the island. Many tourists were attracted to the festival to pick up clams and taste traditional Qingdao seafood.

The festival is an important event to promote fishing culture in Jiaozhou. The Hanjia Cultural Village, built in 2004, is one of the representatives of the culture. There are more than 10 traditional spots in the village, such as temples and commercial streets, which is the best place to experience ancient Qingdao’s fishing culture.
