Australian students suggest a city of music
    2011-07-19  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

TEN postgraduate students from Queensland University of Technology were impressed with the city’s achievements in music, traditional culture, creative industry and new media after a weeklong visit to Qingdao and suggested Qingdao become a city of music.

Qingdao was the first stop for the 10 Australian students on a 14-day program to study the Chinese cultural and creative industry. During their seven days in Qingdao, they had visited several cultural creative industrial zones and cultural venues such as the Olympic Sailing Center and Musical Square. They also tasted traditional Qingdao cuisine at the city’s agricultural ecological park.

They shared their experiences and feelings about the visit before leaving. In their reports, they spoke highly of the city’s achievements in cultural and creative industry, saying the city was fully capable of becoming a “city of music.”
