A SOLAR energy project with total investment of 680 million yuan from the Harbin Institute of Technology started construction at the city’s export processing industrial park, marking a new achievement in the city’s development in the photovoltaic industry.

    The institute is the country’s leading research base in high power solar energy collector technology, making significant contribution in providing low-cost and high-efficiency solar power for residents. After the project starts operation, it will jointly work with the city’s north power plant, becoming the world’s biggest inverter manufacturer. Meanwhile, there are other related solar energy companies located in the zone, helping increase the city’s competitiveness in photovoltaic technology.
