Livestock farmers move to new farms
    2011-07-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

MORE than 10,000 livestock farmers in Laixi have moved to the 1,200 new farms where there are better environment and advanced equipment and facilities.

The former individual stock raisers are now jointly working together with advanced technologies to seek higher profit and better development, according to the city’s stockbreeding bureau. So far, more than 90 percent of the stocks have moved to new stock farms, said Lu Dongjun, director of the bureau.

The city is divided into different areas, in which some are allowed to breed animals and some are prohibited. All the stockbreeding should follow the standards and use advanced methods.
