THE Qingdao Beer Festival opened in Taiwan on July 13. The festival was staged to promote Qingdao and Shandong Province among Taiwan residents in communications, culture and tourism.

    One of the top 10 Chinese festivals, it was the 20th year since the first festival was held in 1991. During the two-week festival in Qingdao last year, more than 3.3 million international visitors came to Qingdao to celebrate the biggest beer carnival in Asia.
