A CITYWIDE competition for young people who want to start their own businesses finished recently. The final and award ceremony were held at Qingdao TV Station.

Six contestants demonstrated their projects in the final. After a debate and question session by experts, the competition selected one first prize, two second prizes and three third prizes. The winners will receive 1 million yuan, 600,000 yuan and 300,000 yuan respectively. The money will help them start their envisioned businesses.

The competition was jointly organized by several government departments and associations. It started in April and nearly 10,000 young people from 21 colleges and more than 20 business incubator bases across the city participated.
