AFTER a monthlong competition, the “South France-China Qingdao” team with two Qingdao sailers, Guo Chuan and Yu Ying, has won the Sailing Tour de France.

It was the 34th Sailing Tour de France and it was the first time that Chinese sailors had attended the competition. Their outstanding performance has been heralded worldwide.

After the competition, Guo will start to prepare for an international biennial sailing competition held in September, becoming the first Chinese to sail around the world alone.
