GDP up by 10.9%

    THE city reported 301.67 billion yuan in GDP in the first half of this year, an increase of 10.9 percent, according to the development and reform commission.

    Agricultural production achieved stable growth by seeing an output of 267,000 tons of meat products, 182,000 tons of dairy products, 95,000 tons of eggs and 470,000 tons of fish.

    Stable growth was also seen in industrial production. The added value of the city’s heavy industry grew by 10.4 percent in the period while the light industry reported 13 percent growth.

    The city registered 104.86 billion yuan in sales volume of consumer products in the period, a 17-percent growth.

    A total of 149.93 billion yuan was invested on fixed assets in the period, a 23.6-percent increase.

    The primary industry absorbed an investment of more than 2 billion yuan while the second industry received an investment of more than 61 billion yuan.

    More than 85.95 billion yuan went to the city’s tertiary industry in the period.

    The city reported more than US$33.67 billion in foreign trade in the period, a 30.3-percent increase year on year.

    The local fiscal revenue surpassed 29.78 billion yuan, a 29.8-percent growth.

    The average disposable income of the city’s urban residents stood at 13,963 yuan in the first half of this year, a 13.4-percent increase year on year.

    The average cash income of the city’s farmers reached 6,533 yuan, a 17.2-percent growth.(Li Hao, Lin Gang)
