 QINGDAO has become increasingly popular among tourists and netizens. Online introductions to Qingdao’s tourism attractions, food and natural scenery have all attracted large numbers of viewers. According to a tourism report by www.17u.cn, Qingdao has been ranked No. 2 among the country’s top 10 coastal tourism cities for two years in a row. On another tourism Web site, Qingdao is the third most popular city viewed by netizens after Beijing and Shanghai. Hotel information of Qingdao has attracted more than 10,000 netizens, increasing by more than 20 percent last year, the Web site said. Research by www.tuniu.com showed the number of tourists visiting East China regions had doubled since July compared with the same period of last year, in which most of the visitors were going to Qingdao.
