City’s largest folk culture park built
    2011-08-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

CONSTRUCTION of the city’s largest agriculture and folk culture park was finished and the park recently opened to the public for free.

Located where Huangzhang Road meets Jiaohe River, the park features forests, bamboo stands, agricultural produce and a farm tool and livestock exhibition.

There are vegetables such as cabbage, potato, cucumber and eggplant, and more than 30 types of crops such as wheat, corn and peanuts.

The farm animals on exhibition include cows, sheep, horses, rabbits, dogs and chickens, while the tools are common agricultural tools such as the hoe and plow.

The park is free to visitors. It was established as a place for people to learn about agriculture, farmers and their produce, a park official said. (Wang Yuanyuan, Wang Liyan)
