A tour of recreation

Shenzhen Concert Hall — Window of the World — Evergreen Resort

    Shenzhen Concert Hall

Shenzhen Concert Hall is an important cultural symbol of Shenzhen. Located in central Futian District, the concert hall was designed by Arata Isozaki, a Japanese avant-garde architect with a solid reputation in the international construction field.

The canyon-terraced symphony hall covers a total area of 2,323 square meters and holds an audience of 1,680. It provides pure natural acoustics and is large by the standard of music halls in China.

Since opening in 2007, the concert hall has hosted a wide variety of performances and musical competitions.

Add: Intersection of Hongli Road and Fuzhong Road 1, Futian District (福田区红荔路和福中一路交汇处)

    Buses: 25, 64, 65, 71, 111, 228 (Children’s Palace stop 少年宫站)

    Metro: Children’s Palace Station (少年宫站)

    Evergreen Resort

Located on a slope of Nanshan Mountain, the resort combines mountain views with artificial gardens to create a pastoral serenity. Visitors can learn to make their own pottery, pick fruit and play chess or table tennis.

Scores of villas and cottages are scattered around the resort. Worth mentioning are cottages built on giant banyan trees that make guests feel as though they are living in ancient times.

Outstanding are the environmental protection efforts made by the designers of the resort. Here people can see a bull sculpture made of discarded bottles and listen to percussion music played on discarded plastic buckets and gas tanks.

Add: 1 Qingqing Street, Moon Bay, Nanshan District (南山区月亮湾青青街1号)

    Buses: 42, 210, 350, 369 (Qingqingshijie stop 青青世界站)
