Summer parfait pleasures

The parfait at the Lobby Lounge of Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen will cool guests down in the summer heat with its taste and presentation. The menu features generous servings of artisanal ice cream, served in a jar along with fruit compote and presented amidst a cloud of dry ice.

From the artisanal chocolate cardamom vanilla parfait — served with mango compote — to the Asian-influenced vanilla bean and green tea parfait served with litchi compote, all ice creams and fruit compotes are handmade by executive pastry chef Robert Hope. Guests who enjoy a touch of alcohol in their dessert can try the citrus-based grand marnier and lime parfait served with orange compote.

Available until Sept. 30, guests can choose from six flavors and each is available for 58 yuan. Prices are subject to a 15 percent service charge.

Weekend BBQ set menu

Leave your suit and tie behind and relax with free flowing cold draft beer or soda at the Leaves Rooftop Garden Bar of The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen. On offer will be an all-you-can-eat seafood platter, BBQ, French fries and salad — all served family style. The feast is 268 yuan per person, including unlimited draft beer or soda. The price is subject to a 15 percent service charge.

Seafood dinner buffet

Since Aug. 1, the regular dinner buffet has changed to a seafood dinner buffet at the Seasonal Taste all-day-dining restaurant of The Westin Shenzhen Nanshan. Choose from two different kinds of lobster, king crab, baby abalone, fresh scallops and a fine selection of fresh local seafood items from the seafood counter or grill.

Also enjoy a number of other delights from hot buffet or sushi and sashimi. Round it all off with some of the best desserts in town.

Bird’s nest treat
