A QINGDAO-MADE TV drama has claimed first prize at the 28th Apsaras Award, the top award for a TV drama. Named “Our 1980s,” the TV drama was directed by a Qingdao native, Zeng Xiaoxin, and starred local actor Xia Yu. “This is a TV drama about striving, in which I played a worker. The drama helped me understand when and when not to give up,” said Xia. Zhang Wei, the producer of the drama, said the prize is an inspiration for the city’s TV and film industry. The biennial TV award had 161 entries this year. (Li Hao, Li Wei) |
