Juvenile growth facilitated
    2011-08-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

QINGDAO is devoted to creating a sound environment for the nurturing of youth.

The city has installed monitoring software on each computer of the Internet cafes in Haiqin Community in Sifang District, which can automatically filter harmful information.

In Jintanlu Community of Shibei District, the community sets up an activity center for children to play and do their homework before their parents get home.

The city has selected 10 model youths and called on the public to follow their example.

In addition, free out-of-classroom lectures, which cover a wide range of subjects, have also been provided to its 800,000 primary and middle school students, requiring schools to arrange each student to attend no less than six lectures each year.
