City awarded copyright protection honor
    2011-09-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

QINGDAO has been selected by the National Copyright Administration as a national model in protecting copyright, making the city the second to win the honor behind Chengdu.

Besides, the city’s Creative 100 Industrial Park was also given a national award for copyright protection.

The city has issued a series of regulations and policies to support the development of copyright innovation industries, covering capital subsidy, establishment of public technology service platform and introduction of professionals.

China Merchants Bank’s Qingdao branch has decided to issue no less than 10 billion yuan in loans to local creative enterprises with copyrights in the next three years.

The city last year appropriated almost 90 million yuan to introduce authentic office software to all its government departments at city and district levels.

In addition, the use of authentic software is being promoted.

Encouraged by the government, public awareness of copyright has been increasing.

The city saw 465 copyright registrations last year, much more than 85 in 2006.
