Agency for special maid opened
    2011-09-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE city’s first agency to introduce maids who provide special care for women after giving birth was opened recently.

After a one-month trial operation, the agency can provide accurate information to the residents, said a manager surnamed Li of the agency.

At present, there are 158 maids registered at the agency and their average salaries are 3,490 yuan per month. There are 59 maids available in September, said Li.

All the maids in the agency have received training and passed the tests given by the city’s human resources and social security department. “At present, the city has more than 5,000 professional maids who can take care of new mothers and newborn babies,” Li said.

The agency will also buy social insurance for the maids to offer long-term protection for the employees.

It also launches an online interview system so that families can meet the maids online. The service is very well received among young people.
