A CONVENIENT service system for the elderly was launched in Qingdao recently. The elderly can register online.

The system provides services such as medical emergency services, police reporting, product delivery, housework service, information consultation and training. A mobile phone is given to the elderly, which has a special button to connect to the online community platform. Users can reach the community service center, community volunteer center and community health center by pressing the button.

The service system has started cooperation with community service centers in Shinan District, offering more than 400 services from more than 200 companies. More districts will be included in the network. The mobile phone also has a “SOS” button, which can help the elderly to call the police, firefighting department, ambulance and public facitilities companies directly.
