Art festival held

THE Qingdao Grand Theater will launch an art festival from Oct. 23 to Nov. 20 to celebrate its 1st anniversary.

Top symphony orchestras from around the world will give concerts at the festival, while Taiwanese magician Liu Qian will also meet audiences Oct. 28 and 29.

China Philharmonic Orchestra will make its debut Nov. 12, Central Opera House of China will perform “La Traviata” Nov. 19 and 20, and a chamber music orchestra from Russia will also perform.

Local art troupes will also perform during the festival. They will bring classical music, traditional Beijing opera and Lu opera shows. (Wang Yuanyuan, Wang Pin)
