Qingdao's Party chief, Li Qun led a delegation to visit India and Thailand to enhance friendship and economic cooperation between the two countries. During the stay in India, the delegation inspected the country's software and service outsourcing industries, paying visits to its brand enterprises. The city is considering strengthening the cooperation with Indian enterprises in the field of service outsourcing and software. In addition, the delegation signed an agreement with an Indian information technology company to set up a service outsourcing base in Qingdao. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Qingdao and India's XXX (NIIT) to open classes at the city's universities or establish independent training schools. The delegation visited the Ministry of Industry in Thailand, as well as the Chinese embassy.
