A modern private school which teaches traditional Chinese culture and philosophy opened in Qingdao recently and 20 students were now studying Confucianism while wearing traditional Chinese costumes.

Located on Ningde Road, the school followed the traditional Chinese education system with Chinese paintings and music. The teaching materials included famous works of Confucius and other ancient Chinese scholars.

Students will read the books and play games with teachers every day and they will also participate in competitions and experiments together. Every classroom has modern education equipment.

Many parents and students spoke highly about traditional Chinese philosophy. "In the beginning, I thought the books were boring, but after studying, I found them very interesting and very useful in teaching me about life and myself. I like it very much now and can memorize all the books," said a student.
