Turning our ancestors’dream into reality
    2011-11-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

I watched the launch of “Tiangong-1” on the night of September 29. When the countdown began, everybody held their breath; when the commander announced the launch was a success, we all cheered and clapped.

After watching the video, I read some information about “Tiangong-1” on the Internet and got to know more about it. The name means welkin, borrowed from the old novel “Journey to the West.”

“Tiangong” shows our ancestors’ dream of flying. “Tiangong-1” is a space lab module and will be the first part of our future space station, for living in and peacefully exploring space. So, this launch has already started turning our ancestors’ dream into reality.

Also, I know “Tiangong-1” is a complex high-tech project. Experts from fields including math, medicine, physics, material science and electronics were all required. And, everybody knows even one weak link would have caused the entire launch to fail. In other words, every worker is essential to the success of “Tiangong-1.”

I am currently feeling ashamed that I recently lost 34 points in the monthly exam because of carelessness. If I were a worker on the “Tiangong-1” project, my laziness would have caused disaster.

I must always remember the phrase: No sweet without sweat.
