Tri-network integration has covered a total of 6,000 households in Qingdao in a pilot program. The tri-network integration refers to the integration of telecommunications networks, cable TV and the Internet. Starting in January of last year, the city piloted high definition interactive TV and Internet protocol TV (IPTV) in selected residential areas, laying the foundations for a city-wide promotion. The three network operators have completed or been conducting related upgrading. The country will conduct an evaluation of the cities piloting the tri-networks integration and issue access licenses.
