Aviation equipment park to be launched

WORK will start soon on an aviation technology and equipment industrial park, a joint investment by the city and the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). A clean-energy electrical appliance project will also be established in the park.

The AVIC has developed well since its reformation three years ago. Its total assets increased to more than 520 billion yuan from 310 billion yuan, while the economy scale is about 209.9 billion yuan at present and is expected to reach 250 billion yuan by the end of the year. The profit is expected to reach 13 billion yuan this year. It was listed the 310th on the Fortune Top 500 Enterprises.

Hisense to build factory in Argentina

HISENSE Group will build a joint-venture factory in Argentina to make home appliances.

The group signed a contract with BGH in Argentina recently. The factory will be built in Rio Grande City. Hisense will provide experience in product creativity and design, while BGH will spend US$22 million to buy technology and equipment for the first year.

The products, including LCD TV, LED TV sets and air-conditioners, will be sold in Argentina and other South American countries.

Tire maker hits new highs

TIRES made by the Double Stars Tire Co. Ltd. was ranked 21st on the list of the world’s Top 75 tire makers recently, according to the Rubber & Plastics News magazine in the United States.

The company was also the 12th biggest rubber company in the world, according to the European Rubber Journal.
