Gas supply improves
    2011-11-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A NEW natural gas pipeline by PetroChina Co. Ltd. opened recently and the city’s natural gas would be supplied by two companies in the future.

Qingdao introduced natural gas to the city in 2002. During the past 10 years, the city’s gas was solely supplied by Sinopec Ltd.

There are now more than 700,000 residents using natural gas and the city consumes about 600,000 cubic meters of gas a day on average.

Construction of the pipelines to connect to PetroChina’s started in 2009, with an investment of 150 million yuan. (Wang Yuanyuan, He Jun)
