 A TOTAL of 82 employment services are now available to residents online. The services include information consultation, contract evaluation, video recruitment and online registration. The city’s new human resources and social security Web site, www.qd12333.gov.cn, has attracted more than 8.6 million visitors since it was upgraded in November last year. The Web site saw a daily average of 25,000 hits, an increase of 120 percent compared with the number before its upgrading. Nearly 50,000 employers have registered on the Web site and jobseekers can be interviewed directly via Web cam. So far, the Web site has held more than 50 online job fairs and 1,582 companies have attended, providing 8,767 jobs. So far, more than 2,000 users have found jobs at the site. The Web site also has staffers to answer netizens’ questions related to employment and government policies. In the past year, the staff have answered inquiries from 24,630 netizens. Meanwhile, videos are offered free on the Web site teaching people about labor laws and social security policies. More than 65,000 candidates have used the site to register for the civil service examinations. More than 130,000 others have registered for professional certification exams via the Web site.
