QINGDAO has passed a national evaluation of its work to introduce standardization to its tourism industry.

Thanks to the standardization, the industry has seen improvements in service quality, branding and the calibre of staff, according to the National Tourism Administration, which conducted the evaluation between Nov. 15 and 17.

The administration said the city’s tourism standardization has laid a solid foundation for Qingdao’s endeavor to develop a strong tourism industry.
