A NEW dye-sensitized solar-powered battery project started operation at the Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone recently. It is the country’s first dye-sensitized solar-power battery.

The new battery is cheaper and less pollutive compared with the traditional battery.

The project introduces advanced technology developed by the Nobel Prize winner Graetzel. It will also help promote the city’s development in energy saving.
