1. Be supposed to

意思是“应该”。例如：How am I supposed to live without you? 没有你我该怎么活？

电影中的 And we’re not supposed to ask. 意思是“而且我们不应该问。”

2. Fan out

意思是“把……展成扇形，把……错乱摆放”。例如：She overheard her mother cry over some love letters fanned out on the table. 她偷听到母亲对着桌上的一堆旧情书哭。

电影中的 Thank God you didn’t try to fan out the magazines. 意思是“谢天谢地你没有打算把杂志都翻出来。”

3. Out of order

意思是“失控，次序混乱，违反会议规程”。例如：Since you were elected president of the class, you have been out of order. 自从你选为班长后，你一直乱七八糟的。

意思是“艰难地进入”。例如：Without any inside help, it is hard to crack your way into big-name foreign ventures. 如果没有内部关系，你是很难进入知名外企的。

电影中的After all your years of struggling, you’ve finally been able to crack your way into show business. 意思是“经过这么多年的打拼，你终于能够进入演艺圈了”。
